Father taught me // to tuck two-finger of right opened palm, // to solve 5+3=? I fumbled among two fingers, // and failed In a night of bone breaking winter I untucked my fingers // after thirty years Wiped the cold sweat, // came in stark loose– Father yells still, but he is no more.
